a sea breeze billows
out her blouse

the butterfly farm
our daughter whispers
to one on her nose

my daughter’s lisp
the snow flakes’ hiss
on street lights

slap after slap
mum’s taxi wipers
while all the kids pour in

turning over
dreams of slumber
our hot humid bedroom

rustling cornfield
leaving the scarecrow
in my old winter coat

the afternoon flags
a windmill
flashes the sun

our campfire songs
Galaxies crowding
the whole summer lake

bright sunshine
around Dad’s old tin shed
never tidy

eagle’s eyrie
the mountain faced-up
for his inspection
