Poem 1090

Sundial garden
stopping the autumn rustle
the smell of burnt leaves.

On the sundial
…. butterflies….
the breezes from their mating.

Sundial garden
in the rows of carrot heads
our curled cat.

Garden sundial
each cloud pass
taking time.

Small clear lake
below the mirror
flint-stone tools from the past.

In the mirror
deflating on the floor
a child’s birthday balloons.

In the dresser mirror
my wedding ring passed over
by moonlight.

Singing rock star …
her too as she mimes
into the mirror.

Window mirror
on the spring roses
their pregnant buds.

Home alone
mirrors in the mirrors mirror
his mother’s shattered mirror.
