your tourist bracelets
jingling as we leave.

There ! deeper out
in the washing machine
a driftwood or a surfer.

Bringing us to islands …
at the ship’s prow
the squawk of seagulls.

Harbour storm
the long pink struggle
ahead of dawn.

Tourists
captured by the whale
looking back.

Dusk
among leaping dolphins
the swish of our sails.
