their sounds so urgent

Showers return

the corn popping
its little surprises.

Wine festival
a few of the tourists
learning when to spit.

Mountain waterfall
the morning sun
distilled in it.

White water rapids
unable to delay
the urges in salmon.

Incense cloud
the priest raises the Cross
shaped by His nails.

Hallway wind
a sudden slap
from father’s portrait.
