Zen Haiku

Poem 2125

mountain spring
from its lips of stone
the taste of earth.

right where I stand
the caressing fall
of the maples.

scooping the Galaxy
in the ice-melt
I prepare our coffees.

Rolling over
her baby bump
the sea’s soft swell.

Staring landward
the lime bikini stranger
under her red straw hat.

Ocean whispers …
one albatross swoops
another gliding past.

Mediterranean cruise
the hour dawn takes
to fill the sea.

Leaving the sea
remnants of a rainbow
that gulls sweep through.

Mediterranean cruise
greeting an old friend
the sky blue heat.

Dolphins in and out
the waves of the Aegean
arching their backs.
