a red sunset.

down a furtive place
to the well water.

once in a blue moon
the moon.

these dark woods
my torch light no longer
on father’s back.

meteor at dusk
beyond the farm house
nearer the stars.

mountain thaws
rollicking home
to the sea, to the sea.
