waiting to pass
the polished hearse.

the sound as students
paint outside of it.

Snow sprinkles–
a plum afternoon
my stroll to the library.

The park’s doves
sharing loneliness
in my sandwich.

Theatre emptied
only the rain before us
to the car park.

Slender waterfall
her lip-licking sips
from my cupped hands.

Around the bay
an immense sunlight
expands the tide.

His first school day
so alone
pruning her few bonsai.

Mantelpiece
new frames
the old faces.
