summer heat
the sunset shatters
the mirror at sea

netting them
is as flirtatious
as butterfly wings

snow fall
painting the yard
through curtain lace

fog
shaping the sounds
walked ahead

being alone…
I don’t wave
the school children pass

her black kimono–
winds shimmer
its autumn leaves

flap of winds
the scarecrow’s
faded coat

black hay-filled
scarecrow’s coat
in the tall corn winds

church bells
split my eyes
in a Sunday sleep

rogue wave–
before its chaos
the family beach
