our Sunday hymns
the pedal organ
getting up to speed

hometown
the conversations to find
our love heart tree

her hands brush over
her favourite scent
lilacs at the gate

aware of dreams
coffee down the hallway
comes and goes

glowing
in the fresh orange light
white climbing roses

coloured windows
we turn to rainbows
in the pews

sunrise just now
each new sound
adds eyes to a movement

whistling train
a friend’s last wave
in distance goes

a flower’s shadow
drawing back from the bee
in the wind
