finally there
the ducklings joined up
for their long flight home

in time for thought
Galaxies beyond darkness
expanding the light

the guests gone
her short-hem white dress
hangs outside to air

granny’s flat
her rows of seedlings
hosed and weeded

wedding tree
twenty years planted
to families of wrens

Europe…
touring the village
Mum always lived

alone with rain
waving down the platform
to the train

farmhouse
a meteor passing
leaves its light

saxophones
beneath my cat nap
