the pigeons peck around
in confetti and rice.

The house locked
Sirius the dog star
on guard.

Grandmother’s chair
her knitting needles clack
into the night.

First buds
pulling her milk tooth
for the fairy.

School boys pass
the dog’s bark pops
his eye balls out.

Migrating geese
middle of the wet lands
middle of the year.
