sailing in the Aegean
blue with sky.

the hour dawn takes
to fill the sea.

Leaving the sea
remnants of a rainbow
that gulls sweep through.

the sky blue heat.

Dolphins in and out
the waves of the Aegean
arching their backs.

Crow’s-nest
all morning
bending beyond the storm.

burning the horizon
two white suns.

Tropic isle
filling the sea
the moon pulls back.

Fisherman’s boat
the dog alone at Christmas
without a meal.
