Zen Haiku

Poem 2408

In sleep
the far barking dogs
that won’t.

Under glass
finding in the puddles
rose petals in frost.

My need to rest
ignores the rot
of the fallen Pine.

Caterpillar
on every eaten branch
more sky.

Kitchen table
the moon falling off
to brown lino.

the cat’s whiskers
the purrs of a dance
in the school girl’s arms.

Windjammer open
after a bit of pushing
school children line the wharf.

Windjammer
tending your tall sails
sailors drown.

Windjammer
spinnaker
straining to pull her.

Suddenly filled
the windjammer sails
suddenly limp.
