unoccupied
the kid’s tree house

shimmering
inches from the sea
till the Sun sinks

Sun shine road
crows
peck the kills

half shells
worrying the bull-ants
off their nest

the train leaving
serrated
town shadows

our sweet walk past
a twilight breeze
through the ripe peach tree

from the bird bath
up-side down
a fruit bat

the morning star
in our bird bath
still bright

limp
in mummy’s arms
their long drive home

morning jog
every corner turning
to autumn Suns
